The Flashforge Creator Pro's (and probably other models') spool holders are designed so that only Flashforge spools lock into place. Other brands just fall off after a few minutes.
These locks secure any non-Flashforge spool in place. In order to fit, the spool internal diameter must be at least 57mm.
Simply put the spool in place and push the locks in horizontally. Note that there is a right lock and a left lock, marked R and L, they are different and designed so they cannot spin with the spool, or they would eventually come off.
To take them off, turn them in the opposite direction of the spool (looking from the front of the printer: anti-clockwise for the right lock and clockwise for the left lock) and pull.
