Flattypus Fishing Lure

This is a classic flatfish fishing lure. I use it to target bass, flathead, mangrove jack and snapper in the shallows. I designed it in F3D using the Engineered Angler's video as guidance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vpnCGksEWA&t=362s

Print the two halves in PLA\PETG 20%. You can insert small (2.5mm) ball bearings in the upper cavity of each half during the print. Bend up the wire, insert small pieces of filament in the location holes, Insert another ball bearing in the rattle cavity and glue the lure together. I print in clear PLA and use UV resin to glue the lure and coat with afterwards.

In Australia I use a a sealing product called Leni (Bunnings) followed by a UV coat, airbrush and a top coat of UV resin.

Add hooks, tune the lure by bending the towpoint and go fishing.
