Since I had the challenge to somehow organize all the stuff that came together over the time by building and tweaking 3D printers, I was looking for the perfect storage system. But actually most of the systems were either too big or by far to small - or really expensive…
So the natural conlusion was to simply design my own system.
Target was to
- make it easy to extend
- support various sizes
- have drawers to take something out, without the storage system to collapse
- print it completely without any support needed (I hate to remove supports…)
Therefore I came up with this system
- It is stackable, without the need for external supports - just put one box on the other and they snap in
- the elements/drawers have different width: 40mm, 80mm and 120mm
- the height is either 40mm for single size drawers or 80mm for double size
- each drawer has three positions for a divider implemented
Assume, you want a 80mm width component, you need to print:
case_80.stl and dra
