Florence Nightingale

Florence Nightingale, known as the founder of modern nursing, revolutionized healthcare through her dedication to patient care, hygiene, and hospital reform. Her work during the Crimean War (1853–1856) significantly reduced mortality rates by improving sanitation and nursing practices. Beyond that, she established the first professional nursing school in 1860, shaping the future of the profession. As a nursing student, learning about Nightingale’s impact has been inspiring. Her emphasis on evidence-based practice, patient advocacy, and compassion resonates deeply with me. To honor her legacy, I’ve created this model as a tribute to her contributions and the foundational role she plays in nursing education.
