Created it for my shrimp Fluval Flex aquarium to reduce flow of the Fluval pump outflow. The default pump, regretfully, do not have a possibility to reduce its flow. I believe it is one of the biggest design flows of this Fluval aquarium set.
Wanted really minimal intervention in the default setup and, at the same time, a reduced flow. Especially, I did not want to make any intrusive or replacement changes of default nozzles. That's why I created this reducer.
You install the reducer in the nozzle that comes with Fluval flex, inside a place where nozzle is screwed with a thread to the output pipe from the pump. The reducer should fit inside perfectly. You need to unscrew the nozzle first, install the reducer, and then screw the nozzle with the reducer back to the pipe.
The reducer's size creates an optimal flow for shrimp or fishes that do not tolerate strong flow in the aquarium and, at the same time, do not make the pump struggle. The advantage of using this over e.g. a piece of filt
