This flying butterfly was created via Fusion 360 and is designed to be printed in 2 colors with the first and last 2 layers being black.
No supports should be needed.
Since the pattern repeats on the back of the wing, a single wing is used for both sides and ensures that when mounted the back side is as nice as the front.
There is some slop in the channel for the wings in the body that allows some variation in the angle.
Body has through holes for mounting permanently and notched mounts on the back allowing to drop onto 2 pre-installed screws.
updated to add larger format option. I split the wings and blew thus up to 165% maxing out the build size for my Prusa Mini. The resulting butterfly has wings 12 inches long with the wingspan being roughly 14 inches.
1/6/2021 - updated 6.5 inch body to add a 3/16ths hole mid body for mounting on a stick for pots/garden etc. Also rotated bodies so that they are oriented properly for printing.
1/24/2021 - updated 6.5 inch bo
