Towards the end of World War Two, the German airforce was experimenting heavily with new concepts in aviation. Vehicles like the https://makerworld.com/en/models/975902#profileId-985439 Horton Ho 229 Flying Wing were produced, but even more outlandish designs were waiting in the wings. The Triebflügel was designed to be a short range rapid interceptor, launched vertically using a solid-rocket boost in the rear fuselage and driven by three jet engines on the end of three rotating and gimballing wings. As the “rotor” gained speed, the wings would tilt and generate lift via forward motion. Landing would also be vertical, something which would have been extremely difficult had it ever flown. It never got past the wind-tunnel stage before the conclusion of the war. It did appear in a Marvel film, as the escape vehicle for the villain, Red Skull. This was modelled based on the existing sketches of this craft. Boost MeThis is my inaugural upload here at Makerworld and I hope you like it!ASSEM
