Here is a beautiful custom designed forest animal clock. Can you find all 7 animals?
My daughter drew the picture of this clock which I then scanned and turned into a lithophane. The lithophane was then loaded into my 3D modeling program and turned into this clock.
Requires a printer with at least a 10" x 10" (254 x 254 mm) print area.
For best resolution of the animal reliefs print at 0.1mm layer height or finer for the last 1/4" of the print height. A fairly dense infill of at least 24% will support the animal outlines nicely. This is a 36+ hour print. Uses about 220 grams of filament.
It is highly recommended to use thermally calibrated filament so as to not under or over extrude the print. I use these calibration clips to find the right temperature and thermal diameter of the filament.
