Ferencvárosi Torna Club, or FTC for short, is Hungary's most successful and largest fan base sports club and football team in Budapest's 9th district.Since its founding in 1899, it has been crowned Hungarian champion 35 times, won the Hungarian Cup 24 times, and once, in 1965, defeated the Italian Juventus (and has been the only Hungarian team to do so since then), won the Fair Cities Cup, the predecessor of the Europa League and UEFA Cup. In 1975, it took second place in the European Cup Winners' Cup. In 1995, it became the first Hungarian team to reach the group stage of the Champions League, and in 2004, it was also the first to reach the group stage of the UEFA Cup.
