I'm working with a FIRST robotics team (FRC 2151) this year, so I am printing parts for the robot to introduce the students to 3d printing and other related engineering principles.
Here is this year's game animation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOXsdhZZSdM
This is a collection of parts that will be used on our robot.
Limit switch mount: This holds the limit switches for the adjustable angle shooter, so it doesn't overtravel. Allows a simple connection between 8020 style extruded framing and a standard microswitch. Video of my makerbot printing this part: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njjfYhdcb_8
LED mount: We are using IR LED pairs to detect the ball in the robot. This is a mount for hold the LED and narrow the beam.
Pulley: Using the absolutely fantastic Pulley SCAD script ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16627 ) by droftarts, I was able to quickly generate a large bore pulley for the ball movement mechanism. The robot kit comes with Gates HTD 5mm belts, and this p
