This is a jig I designed to work with my Bosch GKF 12V-8 router. to put a radius along a fretboard. Current design for 16" radius as found on Martin and other popular acoustic guitars. attach fretboard to a 5" wide MDF board for the base to run along and use as a reference. The router base replaces the stock one and has rollers to roll along the 16" roller rails to cut the radius.
I used PLA for it's stiffness at 55% for some strength
needs 11 roller bearings 608rs (standard roller skate bearings)
7- M8 screws, washers and nuts to attach the bearings to the jig
update 21 Mar 2026:
added base for Makita RT 700 series
added radius for 10in as found on older Strats and Ibanez electric guitars
if you want another router or a different radius rail let me know. I'm happy to make modifications.
