I needed a vice but I hate the threaded versions that take forever to use. This vice is very quick to set and remove and usually has enough holding power for most applications. It incorporates two 100mm long, 8mm diameter steel rods you can buy from Amazon in the link below or cut your own from 8mm rod you might have laying around. The jaws are easily interchangeable and customizable to cater to various tasks. Ideal for securing objects during 3D scanning, it also excels as a PCB vice or a wire holder for soldering projects. To engage the vice, simply press the jaws together; their inherent compliance mechanism locks onto the pins, guaranteeing a secure grip. Designed for light-duty work, it’s not recommended for drilling or sanding. The base is tailored to accommodate a #6-32 capscrew or an equivalent M3 capscrew/machinescrew, with the option to forgo the nut and directly thread into the plastic for sufficient torque.
