Fridge door opening limiter

The parallel installation of the home appliance cabinets are design so that the handles are on the middle. The reason is that the handle of the right cabinet would damage the surface of the left one. Though, always this is not the most convenient set-up.

Here's the solution to avoid doors to hit each other. The string is connected to a pin in the spare hinge seating and it goes through limiter box. You can place a spring in to the box for softening the end stop. Maximum opening is adjust with the knot after the spring.

The limiter box is fasten on the fridge's hinge spare treading using two M5 screws.

The door pin is with three parts. Place M4 screw throw the roller but let is a bit loose so that roller can spin, there a cap for the roller to have a final touch.

Place a heavy nut on back of the unit, which is pulling back the slack of string during door closing.

If you need the full opening of the door just pull out the pin from the door top corner.
