FrostFlow Car Cup Holder

The Frostflow cup holder is engineered to require minimal support during printing and has been verified through Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis to be capable of supporting weights up to 1.5kg safely. Comprising two smaller components, it facilitates attachment to a standard ball attachment, commonly found in car accessories. The core idea behind this cup holder is to enable airflow through its large perforations during hot summer days, thus helping to maintain beverage freshness and potentially even refrigerate them. Initially designed with McDonald's cup shapes in mind, it accommodates larger bottles as depicted in the accompanying photo. While ABS is considered the ideal material for this project, rigorous testing has shown that PETG performs exceptionally well without encountering any issues, meeting the intended functionality.
