We buy bags of peeled garlic, but it frequently starts going bad before we've used it all. My wife saw an online tip about freezing chopped garlic for later use, and I made this press to evenly portion it out into teaspoons or tablespoons and save money/avoid food waste. The teaspoon press uses a zip-loc sandwich baggie and ½ cup of chopped garlic, and presses it out into 24 teaspoons. The tablespoon press uses a zip-loc quart freezer bag and ¾ cup of chopped garlic, and presses it out into 12 tablespoons. The frozen garlic pieces thaw in a few minutes when left out, and immediately when added to a dish or pan. Frozen garlic generally stays good for up to 6 months. See the attached document for detailed how-to steps with pictures. Please note that only the teaspoon press is small enough for an A1 Mini.
