FTDx-10 Touch Screen Template

This template was a collaboration between a HAM radio operator with next to zero vision, and myself as a HAM radio operator and another friend of ours who is also a HAM radio operator. It's meant to supplement software that provides feedback to a blind operator using this specific model of Yaesu radio.

The reason for the project was to facilitate the operation of the touch screen control of the radio, along with the computer interface of the radio, to simplify operation when sight is limited or non existent.

With the template held in place using double sided tape, the template can guide a stylus to on screen points to use direct entry of the frequency. Activate the on-screen number pad from the top right opening.

The 2 rows on the upper left operate the receiver, with the top row being the options available after activating a receiver setting.
