## DIY Electric Engine
**Inspired by [Tom Stanton's Electromagnetic Experiments](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoVUdwOgjiA)**

This is a simple DIY electric engine inspired by Tom Stanton’s electromagnetic builds.
My design uses a basic base-and-wheel system with embedded magnets and inductors to create motion.

In this build:
- A **6mm steel rod** and a **696 ZZ bearing** are used to join the two base parts.
- The wheel has **three ceramic disc magnets (14x3mm)** inserted around its perimeter.

---

### Materials

**To assemble the base:**
- `1x` Steel rod – 6mm x 22mm
- `1x` 696 ZZ bearing

**For the wheel:**
- `3x` Ceramic disc magnets – 14mm x 3mm

**To mount on each side of the base:**
- `4x` [Iron Core Inductors](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7070349)

**Optional:**
- `1x` [Reed Switch Holder](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7077612)
