Video of completed project: https://youtu.be/bhbM1IkkH2w
This is designed after M-O, the Microbe Obliterator in the movie Wall-E.
It is designed to use an Arduino paired with a HC-SR501 motion sensor and ISD1820 audio player. The arms are servo driven.
When M-O senses motion, it will play a clip from the movie which says "Foreign Contaminant", lights will flash, and his arms will move.
There is a 12mm tactile pushbutton on his back for an additional function as well as a switch to turn off power.
Arduino code and datasheets located here: https://github.com/jbswaff/MO
You'll need:
* Arduino Uno
* ISD1820 Sound Board (usually comes with a speaker)
* HC-SR501 Motion detector
* One MG90S servo
* A few 220 ohm resistors
* A few LEDs of your color choice
* A 12mm x 12mm pushbutton*
* A 4mm x 9mm switch*
* Various M2 and M3 bolts and nuts, one M5 x 15 bolt
* One 605ZZ bearing*
* *Note that these are press-fit. If used, make sure they are the correct size.
