Makes
Functional Crossbow from the video game Witcher 3, by "Functional" I mean it shoots foam darts.
What you need:
Small spring, approximately 15mm long and 8mm wide.
Roughly 30cm of Elastic Cord, approx. 2 to 4 mm in diameter.
Two 35mm Chicago Screws
String or Twine
Two part epoxy or other very strong glue.
Assembly:
Print each of the files attached. You will need to slice the crossbow body as you see fit. It is safe to assemble the body before inserting the mechanism.
Glue Bow L and Bow R, the "bow" part of the crossbow, to the body using a very strong glue like two part epoxy. Unlike a real crossbow, this crossbow uses an elastic cord to generate tension, and not the plastic bow part. That section should not bend.
I strongly suggest studying the inside of the crossbow mechanism to understand how the trigger fits into the crossbow. You may want to to a smaller "Fit Test" print that consists of only the section around the crossbow trigger.
