This is a remix of my previous crossbow redesigned to be easy to print and shoot 3d printed crossbow bolts instead of Nerf Darts. This design does not require glue and is easy to assemble and disassemble.
I suggest you print the crossbow arms in PETG as the flex of the plastic is intended to provide the force for the crossbow bolts.
Ideally your can fit the crossbow arms diagonally on the print bed. That file is MergedArms.stl.
However if your print bed is not large enough, you can print them separately using Arm_L.stl, Arm_R.stl, and ButterflyJoint.stl.
I used the elastic cord linked below wrapped twice around the prongs then the ends and center of the cord wrapped in thick thread. However this design also works just using inelastic cord and relying entirely on the flex of the PETG for force.
The Torsion Spring needs to be bent and inserted inside the trigger. This spring is optional but the crossbow is much nicer to use with it included.
See BreakoutParts.3mf for a diagram of h
