Works best with Flexible filaments.
A wall mounted scratching cone module for large livestock. Gives them something to rub against in shedding season. Originally designed for horses, but may also find use with cattle.
Print with Solid in-fill and not using support material.
Each module is designed to be replaced individually as cones wear out from rubbing.
The image displayed currently is of a single cone photo edited to show how they arrange. This is a large project to print as each hex is 5 inches across from flat side to flat side. A good sized area is 5 cones across. Each cone takes me 4 hours to print, so in a array of 23 cones that is 92 hours of printing. One of the modules weighs 85 grams so an array of 23 of them will take 2 kilograms of plastic.
At some point in the future I may start mass casting them for a less time consuming process, but I'm making the design available now for those who want to try the idea out on their own.
