Several attempts to build a tracking system for the GaliPi Telescope failed due to high costs of building a rigid structure that allows tracking stars smoothly. I think the best solution is to actually purchase a Goto-mount for the telescope.

Finally I managed to run the first test with both cameras at the same time. Cam01 has a wide viewing angle and is used to aim for the particular objecct. Cam02 has a high magnification.
The test was very promising as you can see in the picture.

GaliPi is a project that aims to use Raspberry Pi Microcomputers to both control a Telecope and to take pictures of the night-sky. Many GaliPi telescopes can operate in a network and observe the same stellar object from different locations. Results are stored and shared.

Part 1 of the project focuses on getting good pictures.
