This is my try to make centering bracket for IPS LCD mod for original Gameboy.
I didn't like idea of using two sided tape to secure it. LCD is really thin and if if you don't manage to center it from get go, you'll risk breaking it. Not to mention that it will prevent later transfer to maybe some other shell.
There is one company that already makes brackets like these, but from my experience shipping would cost more way more than bracket itself. So I went to try and model my own.
There are two versions, one has 0.4 mm between LCD and shell and the other 0.5 mm. I printed 0.4 mm version at 0.2 mm layer height. Some people like to use higher layers for first layer so in this case 0.4 mm might cause problems (0.3 first layer + 0.2 second/rest would be potentially problematic so for these cases there 0.5 mm version.
**EDIT1**
I had problems closing the shell with original design. Ribbon cable connector on new PCB gets in the way of closing the shell. I could force it close,
