Gaming Keypad

After trying many button box styles that were just rectangle boxes, I decided for something different.

I was admiring some mechanical keyboards on amazon and thought there must be hundreds of designs out there, nope! I only found 2 or 3, 1 looked promising but too much work. So after reviewing what others did I came up with this.

That odd shaped rectangle that is protruding is for your wrist to rest on. I have a small/medium hand and it is good, but might be comfortable for larger also.

The plate holds 12 cherry mx switches, I prefer blue. This set I found on ebay for $2 per pack of 10. The plate will rest a tiny hair loose in the box, I glued mine in before setting the switches in. The switches fit nice and snug and easy to get in and out.

In the box I have an arduino pro micro leonardo. I won't go into detail on how to wire it up as I am still in the learning phase and would hate to give bad advice. I glued mine to the board, but recommend double sided thick tap
