I broke our terracotta garlic pot, so designed a new one in Onshape, and printed it in cheap generic marble PLA.The garlic stays in it’s skin so will never touch the plastic, not even to absorb an infinitesimally small and unmeasurable amount of metal that might possibly have been eroded as the filament squirted though the nozzle, despite any such metal being encapsulated in the solidified plastic. So no, I have no concerns at all about putting garlic in the pot! I have since seen post with terracotta filament by Geetech that looks quite nice. Printed at 0.2mm layer height, adaptive layers, 3 walls, 4 top & bottom layers, 15% cubic infill. The pot prints with no supports internal or external. The lid has an overhang that will need support.
