I had a hard time with my typical pull wire latch on my side gate. The cable would bunch up or get stuck. I created this “bolt” type of pull that has printable caps with a hole all the way through for the cable and a small section that accepts a 13mm OD, 11mm ID, ~37mm length spring that operates the action. Recommend PETG or another strong material for the elements. I did PLA originally and it only lasted a few months (better than expected). I printed in PETG and is holding up well so far, but it has not been over 75 degrees or so outside. The only extras that are needed are the spring, the wire pull, and something to crimp on the wire to keep it from pulling back out. If you'd like to support me: buymeacoffee.com/dmack_3d
