Here by using conical wedges, i want to ensure a strong and very efficient fixation of the brick. In this way all side surfaces of the brick's flange are fixed by wedges. Any preload can be set easily between brick's flange and cavity by simply adjusting height size of the wedge. Angle of the wedge is about 1.40 degree along its length, which ensures self-braking in installed position under frequent changing loads. Angle of upper surface of the wedge is inclined by 55 degree to ensure strong and rigid connection between wedges and cavity. Steel frame and rubber frame with circular cross section parts will provide watertight sealing. Steel frame holds and protects rubber sealing during assembly, disassembly and under working conditions. Steel frame for sealing is designed in a such way that load and preload force between brick and cavity parts cannot damage sealing rubber. Rubber frame has had circular section and it only works against water and pressure. This type of sealing design prevents extrusion gap from both sides of the circular ring at operating pressure. With almost no extrusion gap between cavity-steel frame and steel frame-brick, operation pressure can reach very high level without even any possibility to penetrate watertight sealing.
