This bridge was also released with the [Modular Fiddle.](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3131400) Check that thing out if you haven't yet!
This is the first violin bridge you can print that's designed with generative algorithm driven design methods.
This bridge is optimized for low mass and high stiffness. It is very stiff. It has basically no harmonics, as you can see from the screenshot of the modal analysis. That lack of harmonics really comes through in the sound of the instrument. Although not exactly an improvement, it makes my violin sound TOTALLY different.
There is some room to file down the string mounts to get your string heights dialed in, but this bridge may not work on all violins. Hey, give it a go, see what it sounds like!
Revision Notes
R2 - Initial Release
R3 - R2 seemed a little flexible in torsion. I added a beam across the lower to span between the two sides.
R4 - Moved feet up a little to reduce bridge height. Thickened feet for better print re
