This is a geneva drive made for the BlocksCAD Snowflake challange (#BlocksCADSnowflake). It is designed like a snowflake, so that one rotation of the outter wheel will cause the Snowflake to rotate 60°, because snowflakes are in any case hexagonal (caused by the molecular constellation of both hydrogen an oxygen atoms). A geneva drive has an inner wheel and an an outer wheel, a pin on the outter wheel rotates in a notch in the inner wheel and lets the inner one rotate for a certain amount of degrees (depending on the shape). the inner rotation is not continious, while the outter one is. Ths mechanism is used for example in old film projectors to show picture after picture in a certain cadenza.
