This mechanism releases a bottle preform in an electronic gadget cache. It uses a 9g servo (SG9) and 4 screws 3.5 * 16 mm.
The box can be glued to the mount. And this can be glued into the birdhouse. Super glue (cyanoacrylate) works very well for PLA. Epoxy should work also.
The spring is derived from “Accordion folded customizable spring”.
