If you’ve read my Bio, you’ll already know that I’m a Technology teacher in a public high school. Apart from using 3d printing in my classes, I also love to use my free time to design and 3d print things like my tractors. Recently I came across the geology contest and I thought it was a perfect opportunity to encourage 3d printing, not only for technology or robotics but for other subjects too. So, I asked my fellow geology teacher and he helped me to come up with ideas that would be useful with his students. We didn’t have much time, because I saw the contest with few days left, but I managed to design some fault cubes that turned out great. They’re basically 3 different cubes representing the three basic types of faults. I also designed a stand and some labels that add a nice touch. The cubes can be inserted on the stand in both positions “closed” or “opened” and name plates are removable.
