The M.M.S. was an acronym for mobile missile system.
This model was drawn using my original toy and a pair of 6 inch calipers. Although the file is presented full scale, I modeled it so that it was optimized when printed at 25%. Unless you stay in that range it may have too much or too little detail.
The turret rotates after assembly but the missiles (which are glued on) do not aim up and down.
The chassis and turret were printed with support. I had to use a drill bit to clean out all of the support material in the hole in the turret. I printed the missiles pointing up but you may have better luck printing them laying down, not sure. I may give this a try at some point but for now I have all the pieces I need. The tires should be printed with the hubcaps up, no support.
Much respect and gratitude to the men and women of our Armed Forces (past and present). Your sacrifice allows people like me to live in peace and freedom. /You/ are the real American heroes.
