Got three motherboards without heatsink or case, made my own heatsink plate where some generic heatsinks can be mounted, for example:

There is plenty of space under the motherboard for a thick HDDs, space for a DC-DC regulator to drive the fan with a constant speed, instead of load-based regulation. Trusting manual tweaked speed (this way I can do stress tests and find the best performance/noise ratio). If people are worried still original smart speed controller can be used (but it will require doing some connector adapter as your external fan might not have the same connector).
One of the fans is lowered down to create draft over a few ferrite cores which get hot without cooling, therefore the top has such odd shape (to channel the draft). This i
