I wanted to install a compact fluorescent lamp in my ceiling fan, but the globe would not fit because the bulb was longer. I made this extension. It adds 1.5" of extra height. The globe's outside diameter (locking ring section) is approximately 6.5". It's a big print - 6.98" x 2.30".
