Golden Ratio Snowfake
This model is an entry for the BlocksCAD Snowflake Challenge
To design this model I was inspired in the golden ratio. This ratio is common in nature, and can be found in places such as the arrangement of different parts of the leaves of some plants or even in the human genome DNA.
In this particular model, all the segments are multiples of the golden ratio, which is roughly 1.61803. I will provide a document showing this on the model so it is easier to understand (In the document only the exact proportions for the first version are shown, however v2 and v3 are very similar). You can also download the .xml file to see how I implemented it to BlocksCAD
I had some problems with the .stl that was automatically generated in BlocksCAD when I tried to slice it in Simplify 3D and in Cura. However, it was easily solved by using a stl repairing software.
I think that the origin of this problem is the design itself, since it may have some intersecting faces,
