Make a simple catch latch for a shed or greenhouse door using this thing, a golf ball, and some wood screws. Here's a video from Pocket83 showing how to do the [same thing with PVC pipe](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUiQZZ9I3co&t=339s).
The first version of the latch uses the same inner diameter as PVC pipe - 1.5". The second version uses a larger inner diameter - 1.68" to match a standard golf ball's outer diameter.
