I needed a way to attach GoPro to a daybag on my sea kayak. This mount can be clipped to the daybag's closing strap, though it will need something to stabilize it on top. I used a torsion spring from a clothespin in the clip and a paperclip wire for the axis.
You will need to drill slanted holes to pass the arms of your torsion spring through the top and bottom plates - just where depends on the spring you use. You can see couple of extra holes in my plates that I made before I figured it out. Cut the protruding spring wires so they don't snag on things.
I've included a 70mm extender that was necessary to get the camera above the bag.
This uses modules from my OpenSCAD primitives library. I've included the files in this Thing (code assumes they are under plib/...), but they are also available on GitHub (https://github.com/imageguy/openscad_primitives) and as a Thing
(http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1679551).
Please feel free to use, share as modify as you see fit.
