Goth Easter Egg in a Sugar Crisis

This elegant Easter egg looks like it just came out of a fancy pastry shop… or from a baking experiment that escalated slightly out of control. The surface is decorated with delicate spring patterns, while the top is covered with a dramatic dripping icing effect. Is it chocolate? Is it sugar glaze? Was someone a little too enthusiastic with the piping bag? Nobody really knows… but it definitely looks great. The model is designed to be printed in white and painted by hand. The recessed decorations make coloring the details easy, even if your painting skills fall somewhere between “enthusiastic beginner” and “modern abstract artist.” Soft pastel colors work perfectly here: mint green, baby blue, lavender, pale yellow or peach. The dripping icing on top is a great place to use a stronger color to create contrast. Using acrylic paint markers makes everything easier, especially for the smaller decorative details. It’s a simple and relaxing project: print it, paint it, and in no time you’ll have a small Easter decoration that looks like it came straight from a pastry display… or from a kitchen where someone decided to improvise. ⚙ Print Settings Layer height: 0.16 mm (to keep the egg nice and smooth — nobody likes pixelated eggs) Infill: 5% Lightning (the inside of this egg does not need to support the weight of the universe) Supports: not required (this egg knows how to stand on its own) Brim: optional (only if your build plate decides to be dramatic today) Material: PLA (or chocolate, if your printer supports that upgrade) Model height: 5 cm (perfect size for a small desk or shelf decoration) Print time: about 1 hour (faster than baking an actual Easter dessert) Recommended: light Fuzzy Skin effect (helps simulate the natural texture of an eggshell) Painting tips Use pastel acrylic colors for a classic Easter look Paint the dripping icing in a contrasting color Acrylic paint markers are perfect for the small details A matte clear coat can give it a nice finished look Pr
