Great Wheel (Walking Wheel)

This is a functional 3D-printed walking wheel/great wheel for spinning wool into yarn.

The rim sections are sized to fit on a mid-sized printer such as an Ender 3. Each file indicates how many instances of the part to print.

The wheel is held together with 5mm pins (not included as a file). The spindle is a 5mm knitting needle (not included as a file). The wheel axel is a 5/16-inch diameter 3-inch-long lag bolt. The wheel rotates on two skateboard bearings. The frame is composed of dowels and a 2-foot-long section of 2x4 lumber. The dowel sizes are 1/2-inch (for the spokes), 1 1/2 inch (for the post that supports the wheel), 3/4-inch (for the spindle holder support), and 1-inch (for the legs).
