This bird is the national emblem of Zimbabwe, appearing on the flag. Many of these carved birds were found at the Great Zimbabwe Ruins. I chose common elements of the various versions and created this model using Fusion360. It's hollow to allow for filling with resin or plaster to give it some weight.

Use layer thickness of 0.25mm or less (I used 0.2mm) with support. Moderate infill is recommended but not essential.

The model feels robust, especially once filled with plaster. Since this is based on stone carvings, giving it a stone look is ideal. I painted it with black, brown, grey, and some red pigment.

The "b" version is newer and has a slightly more hollowed structure and a rounded head. The rest of the body is unchanged. You might notice the difference in heads in the pictures.
