Grim Dark Chain Axe MK1

I crafted this smaller chainaxe as an offering to the old ways of the XII Legion, a mortal-sized echo of the war-relics carried by the Butcher’s Nails–scarred sons of Angron. Though it stands only 240 millimeters tall, every line, tooth, and housing is patterned after the brutal geometry of Kharn the Betrayer’s famed Gorechild. I shaped the chassis with the same squared, industrial aggression used by the Dark Mechanicum when they first reforged the legion’s chain-implements during the Long War. Even in this compact form, the weapon radiates the same savage purpose the Berzerkers know so well: to tear, to roar, and to spill hot arterial spray in the name of the Blood God. The teeth along the cutting chain follow the pattern of the early Heresy-era designs scavenged from pre-Mechanicum STC fragments, each link shaped wider at the root and honed to a monomolecular edge at the tip.
