I started this project about 3 years ago wanting to change a Google home mini into a HAL 9000. I found out that the original design and shape was in fact big enough to fit an entire Google home mini inside of it so I started the design. Unfortunately, life got in the way and I was unable to finish it until now the current project utilizes the original screws from the Google home mini as you deconstruct it with the speaker being mounted on the lower base plate and the main chip being mounted on the upper base plate. You will need a larger 12-in bed to print some of the primary pieces due to how big how 9000 actually is. The assembly is moderately easy with the wires from the speakers needing to be extended to reach their original plug and two wires soldered to the original touch contact pads found on either side of the board on the back of it. The wires for the contact pads then have to be connected to the touchpads which I printed and conductive the prototype is shown above is My first
