Needed a quick and easy way to store and access my hammer when out in the field. After many iterations and some field testing I finally settled upon this design. The hammer hanger is meant to be placed on both sides of the belt loop behind the pocket and then to have the belt fed through. This prevents the hanger from sliding around your belt and keeps the pocket accessible. The hanger has angled feed faces to help the belt pass through easier. The loop for the hammer has a 45 mm square hole with curved corners and an angled bottom. The angled bottom makes it easier to remove hammers with a plastic handle that sticks out beyond the upper body. I designed, printed, and tested this model using 95A TPU with 3 perimeters and 20% infill. I found that using TPU allowed for enough flexibility to easily accommodate being in a seat between work sites and allowed for precise forming to the hip it is being worn on.
