Hammerhorns

Using their large robust heads they slam their horns into rocks and the sides of the mountain. Once the rocks are sufficiently broken up they feed on the remains. Their horns are made of compressed strong minerals made up of the Hammerhorns diet. The better the materials the Hammerhorn feeds upon the harder and stronger their horns become. Some legendary Hammerhorns have been known to have horns made of almost pure diamond but these are exceedingly rare.  Much like a Camel they have a store of Minerals that they collect on their back. This grows from excess minerals and is stored for times of need such as a horn breaking and needing to be regrown.
