A new take on a tried and true design found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:528501

The idea is to add a solid flat backing to the ornament. Ontop of that backing a conductive battery holder and conductive path is printed using this filament: https://www.amazon.com/Proto-pasta-CDP11705-Composite-Conductive-1-75/dp/B00X8BQYVM?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1. An LED is left on top and the leads are inserted through the hole and melted into conductive pads. No LED bias resistor is needed as the resistivity of the conductive PLA is enough.

Instructions:
1) Choose a colour, and begin the print (no rafts or supports)
2) Monitor for when the backside of the print is complete. When this is the case, pause the printer and swap your original colour for the conductive PLA
3) When the print is complete. place the LED inside the tree and lay it's leads through the hole
4) Bend the leads and melt them into the conductive PLA using a soldering iron. Check to make sure the LED's polarity is right
