Hands-On Volcano Model

This 3D printable model represents the basic layers of a volcano, unlike traditional cutaway diagrams, this model presents the volcano as a layered puzzle, allowing students to reveal each geological section step by step, enhancing their understanding of volcanic structures and eruptions. It consists of four interlocking pieces:Mantle & Rising Lava: The base structure where all parts fit.Crust: The outer layer through which lava passes.Surface & Volcano: The terrain and volcano shape.Smoke & Eruption: The upper part, representing the volcanic cloud.Extra: If you’d like, you can print a rectangular base as the core. The model is in the STL list. The model was initially generated using AI-assisted image-to-3D conversion and then refined and modified in Blender. I’m not an expert in Blender, and I’ve spent more hours on it than I would have liked, but this model has helped me learn how to work with meshes, modifying and separating them into pieces.
