🇬🇧 Description (English) This bust depicts Hatshepsut, one of the few women to rule as pharaoh in ancient Egypt during the 18th Dynasty (circa 1479–1458 BC). Her reign was characterized by prosperity, political stability, and major architectural achievements, including the famous mortuary temple at Deir el-Bahari. To legitimize her authority in a traditionally male role, she adopted the royal iconography of the pharaoh, including the headdress and ceremonial false beard. This model is inspired by a historical statue portraying her in this official form. The sculpture follows the conventions of Egyptian art: idealized facial features, calm and timeless expression, controlled symmetry, and a posture conveying authority. The goal is to reproduce a symbolic representation of power rather than a realistic portra
