Heart insert for soap mold

This insert is designed to work with either the Interlocking Bar Soap Mold or the 74mm Round Soap Mold. Since you have to use the insert at light trace, you need to prep the mold first to reduce leakage.Coat the flat parts that mate together with a thin coat of soap. I use a puck of my shaving soap because it's very soft.Coat the ledge on the base with a thicker coat of soap and assemble the mold.When the soap achieved a very light trace, I stood the insert up in a separate measuring cup and filled it. When I removed the insert and positioned it in the mold, I colored the soap that was in the measuring cup. The cap was installed on top of the insert to make sure the uncolored soap didn't get inside while I poured the outside part. Remove the cap and fill the insert with the colored soap. Remove the insert by pulling straight up.
