Heart Reliquary

Heart Reliquary is a gothic chest built around a central anatomical heart, bound in thorns and roses. The lid forms a smooth arched surface, interrupted only by the organic network of sharp vines that spread across the structure like something that has taken root over time. The heart is not decorative. It sits exposed, restrained but not hidden — a relic placed deliberately on top of the chest rather than locked inside it. Thorns wrap around the body of the box, climbing over the curved lid and running along the sides. Roses emerge between the spikes, soft shapes contrasted against the aggressive structure of the vines. The base rests on sculpted ornamental feet, giving the piece weight and elevation without breaking its cohesion. When opened, the interior reveals a clean, solid storage space, creating a strong contrast between the restrained exterior and the quiet simplicity within.
