A lot of entry-level heat set press tools use a piece of 2040 extrusion to connect the base to the moving arm of the heat insert iron. This is valuable space that can be used to store things, mainly the heat insert tips themselves, instead of them taking up valuable space in whatever storage system you are using. I feel the best location for a tool's accessories is immediately available from the tool itself, so why bother digging in a drawer or something equally bothersome?I have upgraded from the heat inserts that came with my heat press machine.
